سرطان الغشاء البلوريأحد أورام الصدر واصعبها في العلاج. يصيب الغشاء البلوري المحيط بالرئه والمبطن لجدار الصدر.يصيب في البدايه جانب واحد من الصدر. اهم مسبباته التعرض لمادة الاسبستوس لسنين طويله. ينتشر المرض في مصر في مناطق مصانع الاسبستوس ( التي تم اغلاقها بالفعل). يبدأ أعراضه بضيق في التنفس نتيجه لتجمع كميات كبيره من المياه في الصدر والضغط على الرئه، ثم آلام بالصدر نتيجه لزيادة سماكة الغشاء البلوري. تبدأ رحلة العلاج بالعلاج الكيماوي ثم الجراحه لاستئصال الغشاء البلوري أو جراحات أكثر تعقيدً الهدف منها استئصال الورم من الصدر.
