عندما يبدأ سرطان الرئه في النمو في الفراغ البللوري يتسبب في حدوث الإنصباب البلوري أو مياه على الرئه داخل الغشاء البللوري وتكون العلاقه بين تجمع السائل والسرطان في هذه الحاله دليلا علي انتشار المرض وانتقاله الي الغشاء البللوري واحيانا الي اجزاء اخري في الجسم
يعد السبب الرئيسي في حدوث انسكاب الغشاء البللوري الخبيث(تجمع المياه داخل الغشاء البلوري) هو الاصابه بسرطان الرئه أو سرطان الثدي أو الأورام الليمفاويه. ويمكن علاج الانسكاب البللوري الخبيث عن طريق سحب الماء من الغشاء البللوري بعدد من الوسائل منها الأنبوبه الصدريه. وأذا كانت كميه الماء كبيره او تعاود الظهور لصوره متكرره بعد الشفط فان ذلك يتتطلب اجراء جراحي عن طريق منظار الصدر الجراحي لعمل التصاق في الغشاء البللوري
